Odes to Oman

Jumping into Bimmmah Sinkhole

Hello reader! This blog is a little different than my others. As you may see, there are three different types of poems here. I have also included pictures of our travels in Oman. I hope you enjoy it!

Acrostics

Over the rock covered mountains

Moving by the windy dunes

As the sun beats down

No other place is quite the same

Attempted sledding on the very windy sand dunes, in the Wahiba Sands

O h

man

Again with a

New country

Haiku

Wander in wadi’s

Find neverending valleys

Oman, here I come

Hiking in Wadi Ghul (The Balcony Walk)

Rhyming

Oman, with vast dunes

And nights so dark, you see more than the moon

With a sinkhole oasis

Visiting is more than running the bases

High wadi jumps

And dirt roads with bumps

Rocky mountains

And a lack of water fountains

While a week seemed short

It wasn't a trip, that we could just abort

And new family friends

Who knows, maybe Oman will become the next trend

Always be jumping! Here we’re in Wadi Bani Khalid

Recreating The Titanic on a very windy view point, on the way to hike Wady Ghul or the Balcony Walk

Dunes as far as you can see in the Wahiba Sands

Handshakes at a rest stop

Sitting out of the window as we drive out of the dunes

One last jump, hours before they get on the plane
