One (or two) Nights in Bangkok

Pai ended up being the end of the road for us in Thailand. We decided we were ready for new adventures in lands beyond. But first, we had to make our way back to reality and an international airport. To find civilization again, it only took a 3 hour drive and 762 mountain curves to Chiang Mai, a flight to Bangkok, a celebration of Chinese New Year with friends, swabbing three negative PCR tests, and eating a couple of five star breakfast buffets before we could get our bags packed to make weight on the next international flight. Four days of “official business” felt a lot more like “official family fun”. Thailand was very good to us!
